An anesthesiologist in Washington state has been accused of his patient’s safety due to sexting during repeated surgeries between April and August 2013.

According to the Washington state Department of Health, Arthur K. Zilberstein, 47, sent over 250 sexual text messages while in surgery at Seattle’s Swedish Medical Center.

He sent 26 texts during a cardiac probe insertion procedure, 45 during a stomach surgery and 18 during a C-section, which he helpfully clarified with the text, “I’m hella busy with C sections.”

Zilberstein also sent pictures with his genitals out to patients and snuck his girlfriend into the doctors’ parking lot for the purpose of having a sexual rendezvous. He also wrote at least 29 unauthorized prescriptions, The Washington Post reports.

He has 20 days to respond to the charges before a hearing. He has yet to make a public statement.
