    Doe Run Hires Four New Employees In Southeast Missouri

    Employees bring technical and industry experience to Doe Run’s mining operations.

    St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) February 11, 2012

    The Doe Run Company recently welcomed four new employees to the Environmental Department of Doe Run’s Southeast Missouri Mining and Milling Division (SEMO) based in Viburnum, Mo.

    – Genevieve Bodnar, of St. Charles, Mo., was appointed to the position of environmental engineer at SEMO. Bodnar received her Bachelor of Science in metallurgical and mining engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology. Prior to joining Doe Run, Bodnar worked at Peabody Energy, Fred Weber, Inc., and Lafarge North America.

    – Samantha Anderson, of Salem, Mo., was hired as an environmental analyst also at SEMO. Anderson received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in chemistry from Middle Tennessee State University. Anderson previously taught chemistry at Kishwaukee College in Malta, Ill., before coming to Doe Run.

    – Kristin Bicsak, also of Salem, Mo., was appointed to the environmental technician position at SEMO. Bicsak recently graduated from Michigan State University where she majored in geology.

    – Preston Pinson, of Belleview, Mo., joined SEMO as an environmental technician. Pinson is currently completing his Bachelor of Science degree at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo. Pinson returns to Doe Run after previously working as a summer student.

    “Doe Run is pleased to welcome this group to our environmental team,” said Steve Batts, Doe Run’s SEMO general manager. “We’re expanding our team in order to implement several planned underground and aboveground water management projects. Clean water is important to all of us and we expect to spend tens of millions of dollars over the next few years for water treatment projects.”
