A Siberian husky rescued from a storm drain in San Diego last week has been reunited with her owners, animal officials say.

The one-and-a-half-year-old husky, Bella, was found stuck in the storm drain on Thursday with her head and paw sticking out. According to the San Diego County Department of Animal Services, it is not clear how the dog became wedged in the storm drain.

Rescue workers managed to guide the pooch to a nearby storm drain opening, where the grate was removed and she was safely lifted out, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. Daniel DeSousa, deputy director of the citys animal services, told the San Diego County News Center that a good Samaritan was strong enough to pull the grate up and away, and the dog was lifted out.

Bella, who was wearing a pink, studded collar with no tags, was identified through a microchip.

In a bizarre twist, it was the second recent drain rescue operation performed by the department. On Tuesday, animal services were called to a building where a tenants lost pet boa constrictor had made its way into the buildings sewer system. The 5-foot-6-inch Colombian rainbow boa was found in an office toilet two floors below.

Even more bizarre? The name of the snake was Bella.
