The Department of Justice announced today that it has opened an investigation into the Chicago Police Department's practices. This news comes amidst turmoil in Chicago following the release of a police dashcam video which shows a white police officer shooting a black teen 16 times. Additionally, prosecutors announced today that there will be no state charges filed against the police officer involved in the shooting of Ronald Johnson, the second high profile shooting case to come to light recently in Chicago.
