Don't Believe Dwight Eisenhower Met with Extraterrestrials

COMMENTARY | An ex-government consultant, Timothy Good, claims President Dwight Eisenhower had three meetings with extraterrestrials, according to the Huffington Post. This story is not new, but it is gaining attention due to an interview on Frank Skinner's BBC2 program "Opinionated." Even though credence could be added due to the former position of the claimant, it should still be disregarded.

Good sat down with the "Opinionated" crew and gave his side of the story. He admitted he was unable to verify any of the information. He also stated he was not able to give any solid information on the dates or places of the meetings. How is it people can believe a person who cannot provide a shred of evidence to back up his claims?

I heard about this story a year ago and spoke with a few UFO-ologists to see if there was something newsworthy about it. I was greeted with speculation but without any shred of evidence. Granted, there are documents that claim there might have been aliens in America and suggested Eisenhower should meet with them, but I have seen many speculative documents like this that were created over the years. Some were fabricated, while others were actually created by the government through "possible scenario" think tanks.

Personally, I would love to wake up one morning and hear how definitive proof had come forward about the existence of extraterrestrials. The problem with part of the UFO-ologist community is there are too many who will easily fall for any speculative story. The ability to sell books, make TV appearances and tour the UFO lecture circuit is enough to prod anyone to fabricate a story about a chance encounter with an extraterrestrial or a story about how Eisenhower might have had lunch with someone from another planet.

People have come forward in the past with UFO stories and claimed a viable connection to the government but greed and attention have been proven to be the driving force.

Instead of looking at Good's story as fact, we should force him or others to prove it. We should look at any claim like this critically instead of deciding it is time to rewrite the history books. The things we do not know for sure now can only be proven scientifically with hard evidence, not unsupportable statements.

A lot of other countries have released their top secret files on the matter. The USA is a holdout--there is some belief that the USA did indeed benefit from ET technology, and that this would be something which would cast the U.S. unfavorably in the world's eyes.
      • You don't say 3 mths ago
What has been found in the files released from other countries like France and the UK? No concrete evidence.

There has been proof many times and it has always been said was fake.
and of course most everyone believes the fake story.
Wonder why that is? What kind of proof would it take? Would you have to touch one? they would say you were crazy and you would believe them

There was indeed rumors in the military that Ike met with aliens at Edwards air base.
He supposedly covered this hole in his schedule as a trip to the dentist, to escape media scrutiny. He was supposedly golfing in Palm Springs and flew over to Edwards for the meeting.
The Government will never acknowledge ET contact. But since not EVERY sighting can't be a hoax... and I once witnessed an event with my whole family.....and I am a former Naval Aviator... and was skeptical before my own sighting.....and the existence of literally millions of of eye witnesses and thousands of photos that are probably NOT hoaxes, (along with the millions that ARE) ...I think its silly to ridicule the possibility that things like this can happen.

Look up in the night sky. If you think we are the only sentient life forms around, them I am forced to admire your arrogance. Are they here watching us? Probably. Do they want to be seen? Does the US military have 'stealth' technology? Think for yourself.

Its amazing how people believe in such outlandish things in the bible but not in the plausability of E.T. Life. Denying that their is life out there is just ignorant/arrogant

What God, may I ask, would be so arrogant and selfish as to put life on only ONE planet when there are hundreds of thousands of worlds throughout this universe?
Only man, with his tiny view on the way of things, would put such restrictions on his maker!
And, the day is coming when we will know the entire truth!

I'm afraid if extraterrestials visit this planet, it may be to exterminate the carbon based parasite known as man.....

Anybody who begins to "prove" it seems to end up dead. Why oh why do people still think the gov't would want this information to go public all things considered? It would change everything including what we think we know about God or religion in general not to mention it would indicate a weakness that we can't remedy. Hell we could someday be in possible danger should we encounter a species of malevolent beings far more intelligent than we are (and if they came here from somewhere else, they could easily destroy us without flinching) Numerous people over the years have come out and told similar stories of their experiences at area 51 regardless of the skeptics who ostracized them after the fact. The phoenix lights are undeniable proof that something's going on. Do your own research though... People such as Bob Lazar, Phil Schneider and Bill Uhouse all have interesting (to say the least) videos of interviews they've done in the 90's.

Why would aliens change anyone's belief about God? If you believe in God as creator, then you would naturally believe he created the stars, planets and our alien friends as well.
      • Bobby 3 mths ago
Maybe I spoke too soon about it necessarily changing peoples beliefs and ideals, but it would certainly raise a lot of questions as to how long they (aliens) have been coming around here and just how involved they were in our developmental history as intelligent beings. I know there are some people who theorize that everything we have deemed to be divine intervention could have just been ET's making earthly appearances and the people of the time were so awe-struck by what htey saw they could only describe it as godly or supernatural. There's an enormous amount of similarities in the stories that ancient cultures tell of "sky people/gods" breading with the people of the land vs stories about nephilites in the christian bible. There's a lot of ideas out there on the topic and I find it fascinating if nothing else. FWIW, I'd still believe in God regardless of whether our world religions and all it's dogma just turned out to be a bunch of man made conventions.

Actually the meetings were set up with some members of Congress. Ike was trying to find out what planet Congress were really from and was trying to send them all back. I am convinced some aliens from other planets are still in Congress.

Well, a couple days ago there was a sort of vague interview on toutube with some older guy (identity hidden) that said he heard once, that someone said there 2,000 aliens working side-by-side with Air Force guys at Area 51. He claimed they were REAL aliens too, not fake ones.
    • Captain Industry  •  Washington, District of Columbia  •  3 mths ago
Existence of aliens would never and could never be released. Imagine everyone on the planet suddenly having to examine what they believed in. It would be global pandemonium with every government and religion struggling to maintain their control. It will never be allowed to happen and you should be thankful.
    • realist  •  3 mths ago
It's not like there would be indisputable evidence; this is the kind of thing the gov't would do its best to keep quiet.

Why did the Sumerians know there were 10 planets, yes 10 not 9, 4000 years ago? And they knew that they revolved around the sun.

we are nothing more than an "ant farm" on some giant desk......when you walk past an ant does it know you exist? When an ant arrives at some beach does it know life exists on the opposite shore? And finally look around this world....what could a more intelligent population possibly see of value here?
