    Douglas Noll Expands Mediation Training and Teaching Peacemaking Skills Worldwide

    Douglas Noll, author of the 2011 International Peace and Justice award winning book "Elusive Peace: How Modern Diplomatic Strategies Could Better Resolve World Conflicts," expands his international outreach to Malaysia for the purpose of teaching workforce conflict mediation to Southeast Asian business executives and leaders.

    Doug Noll began his journey towards conflict resolution as a lawyer over twenty years ago. Changing focus from trial lawyer to peacemaker has offered numerous opportunities to teach peacemaking to business leaders, executives, voters, prison inmates and diplomats. Noll is a founding board member of Mediators Without Borders, the President of the California Dispute Resolution Council and co-founded Prison of Peace (a pro bono project teaching peacemaking and mediation skills to female inmates in a California State prison) with colleague and professional mediator Laurel Kaufer.

    “I am finding that mediating conflict with sustainable solutions leading towards peace is gaining worldwide momentum. Mediators apply scientific findings about brain function and processes towards teaching successful conflict resolution skills. It is satisfying to know that the desire for peace in the workforce and between nations is a universal concern,” Noll says.

    Douglas E. Noll is a nationally acclaimed speaker, award winning author and a full time mediator specializing in difficult, complex and intractable conflicts. He is a Fellow of the International Academy of Mediators, a Fellow of the American College of Civil Trial Mediators, on the American Arbitration Association panel of mediators and arbitrators and is certified under international standards established by the International Mediation Institute. He is the author of "Elusive Peace: How Modern Diplomatic Strategies Could Better Resolve World Conflicts" (Prometheus, 2011) "Sex, Politics & Religion at the Office: The New Competitive Advantage" (Auberry Press 2006) with John Boogaert and "Peacemaking: Practicing at the Intersection of Law and Human Conflict" (Cascadia 2002). Mr. Noll has been listed as one of the Best Lawyers in America since 2005 by US News & World Report and is a Northern California SuperLawyer.
