    Downton Abbey To Add First Black Character -- Jack Ross, A Musician (Report)

    "Downton Abbey" is expanding its cast for Season 4.

    According to Britain's The Sun newspaper, the show is hoping to bring in its first black character to allow the hit show to address race relations in the 1920s.

    Called Jack Ross, the character is being described as "very handsome. A real man (not a boy) with charm and charisma," a casting notice read, per The Sun.

    The actor should "ideally be able to sing brilliantly," and "overall he should be a very attractive man with a certain wow factor."

    Jack won't be the only new character coming to "Downton."

    Sir John Bullock, who will have a penchant for being "drunk," is also on his way, per the paper.

    Additionally, The Sun revealed the name of the new love interest for the recently widowed Lady Mary Crawley -- Lord Anthony Gillingham.

    Last week, the UK's Daily Mirror reported that British hunk Tom Ellis was up for the role, but he denied the rumors on Twitter over the weekend.

    "Ok so It's been lovely to hear all the congrats for downton but the truth is I'm not going to be in it...but Thankyou for your messages," he Tweeted.
