Drake Recalls Copping His First Pair Of Air Jordans In New #WEAREJORDAN Series
Drake takes a walk down memory lane for #WEAREJORDAN’s new series, where the Toronto native recalls his first pair of MJ’s sneaker line.
Within the 60-second video, Drizzy says the XVs in the white and Carolina blue colorway was his first introduction to the shoe apparel. “I’ll never forget it because it was a gift from my father,” he said. The “Summer Sixteen” rapper also says he sort of transitions into a Michael Jordan mentality when it’s time to perform for the masses. “My life is to go out there and get on that stage and act as if I am Mike, act as if it is the playoffs, act as if it there is a championship trophy you won.”
Drake now has his own line with the profitable company, dubbed the OVO Jordan. The sneaker primarily debuted in 2014 with the black and gold 6’s to the 8’s and the imminent release of the 10’s.
