BEER WIRE—Armadillo Ale Works has a new summer beer: The 5.2% ABV WunderMelon Watermelon Kölsch is brewed with fresh watermelon juice and can be found now served at places like the Meddlesome Moth or stores such as Central Market, Spec's and Whole Foods; see the full list of outlets here, and get it quick, because it's limited release. DFW—Speaking of beer: This Saturday at 6 p.m. you can taste a limited edition kombucha beer from Four Corners and Holy Kombucha on tap at select Whole Foods stores. The prickly pear-flavored "Holy Rooster" is 2.8% ABV; they'll be giving out samples and selling it by the glass. Hit up the in-store bars at the Highland Park, Shops at Park Lane, Lakewood or Addison locations for a taste; they anticipate having the beer in stock for about three weeks. [EaterWire]
