Spouting conspiracy theories following terror atrocities that shake the Western world will never fail to provoke outrage.
But rocker Jesse Hughes has braved an inevitable backlash by explosively suggesting the security detail at Paris’ Bataclan theatre may have been in on the Paris attacks.
Speaking about the slaughter of 90 people during the band’s concert at the venue in November, Hughes said he was suspicious of the guards’ behavior ahead of the show.

Hughes claims to have requested one guard be taken off duty due to his odd behavior and said another six suspiciously failed to show up for work on the night.
The 43-year-old told Fox Business Network’s Kennedy: “When I first got to the venue and walked in, I walked past the dude who was supposed to be the security guard for the backstage. He didn’t even look at me.
“I immediately went to the promoter and said, ‘Who’s that guy? I want to put another dude on’, and he goes, ‘Well some of the other guards aren’t here yet’.
“Eventually I found out that six or so wouldn’t show up at all.”

Hughes claimed he wouldn’t make a definitive statement out of respect for the police investigation but provocatively added: “It seems rather obvious they had a reason not to show up.”
His chat with FOX Business Network’s Kennedy was aired yesterday evening, with more to be shown tonight.
His remarks have already prompted bitter comments on social media.
One of the more diplomatic criticisms on Twitter of his latest interview read: ‘Why are we still giving Jesse Hughes airtime? He’s a conspiracy theorist.’
