East Hartford teen dies after being pulled from pool

Jul. 28—EAST HARTFORD — A teenager is dead after being pulled out of Terry Pool early this morning.

The victim was identified as Tresor Boroze, 16, of East Hartford.

Just after midnight, East Hartford police responded to a report of juveniles inside the fenced area at the town-owned pool in Hockanum Park. While en route, police received further information that one of the juveniles may be underwater.

Once police arrived, they saw other teens attempting to pull Booze, who was unresponsive, out of the pool. Officers performed lifesaving measures until East Hartford Fire Department paramedics arrived.

Boroze was rushed to the Connecticut Children's Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
