NORTHEASTElder Hall, the separate "community gathering space" behind chef Jason French's Ned Ludd, is now officially open to parties interested in holding classes, events, or using its commissary kitchen. According to a press release, the hall will act as home base for Camas Davis's Portland Meat Collective classes, and later this fall, French and his team will launch a series of collaborative chef dinners and "Small Suppers." NORTHEAST— As previously announced, with chef Jobie Bailey leaving the Nonna kitchen, Dayna McErlean's casual Italian restaurant is undergoing a minor menu tweak. A look at the new menu reveals a couple of pizzas (including one with lobster mushrooms, padron peppers, and new potatoes), chicken parmesean, and steak and fries. This Sunday, August 24, chefs Brian Scibetta and Jordan Lee will offer tastes of their prix-fixe Sunday Supper menu during an event starting at 5p.m. [EaterWire]

NW/ALPHABET DISTRICT— Chef Marco Frattaroli will serve up a whole roasted pig, Tuscan style, during this annual feast, which is scheduled for August 25 this year. In addition to the pork, the family-style event features dishes like panzanella, pappa al Pomodoro (tomato and bread soup), dessert, and more. Reservations are $40 and available by calling the restaurant at 503-274-1572. [EaterWire]
