    Egyptian court adjourns trial of 16 Americans and 27 others in NGO case until April 26

    CAIRO - An Egyptian court has adjourned the trial of 16 Americans and 27 others who for pro-democracy groups until April 26.

    Judge Mahmoud Mohammed Shoukry presided over a chaotic opening session of the trial Sunday before adjourning the case until the end of April.

    The NGO workers have been charged with operating without a license and using illegal foreign funds to foment unrest.

    Thirteen Egyptian defendants were in court for the opening hearing. They were held in a metal cage, as is customary in Egyptian trials.

    Of the 16 Americans charged in the case, seven have been banned from leaving Egypt. They were not in court Sunday.

      The egyptians are delaying the trial until they get their $1.3 billion in US military aid. We need to withhold all aid from Egypt until all charges are dropped against the NGO workers, then drop the idea of giving them aid entirely. We have to stop the congressional nonsense of buying friends.

      The new Caliphate is inevitable; based from Iran if they get their way. Just look at the progression of Islam over the last 20 years, and extrapolate a few years into the future.
      We can't buy friends over there - stop sending them money. Build up our defense - we will need it.

      Withhold all aid to Egypt until they have a safe return. Actually stop all aid and put to medicare or something else in this country. How can we be giving aid when we are running in the red every year? Take care of us first!
