After Donald Trump lost the White House in the 2020 presidential election, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner made a decisive choice to exit politics for good — or so the public thought. There are rumblings behind the scenes that the former president’s eldest daughter is reconsidering her position.

Ivanka and Kushner have appeared content to resume their socialite life by relocating to Miami after Donald Trump’s administration. The social scene in Florida has accepted their presence more warmly than their former New York City pals as they focused on their post-White House and their young family. Perhaps that wasn’t enough as Puck News is now revealing that she might be having a change of heart. According to their Trump family source, Ivanka is “warming to the idea of trying to be helpful” with her father’s campaign.

WASHINGTON, DC – JANUARY 31: US President Donald Trump and Senior Advisor to President Trump, Ivanka Trump participate in the “White House Summit on Human Trafficking: The 20th Anniversary of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000” event in the East Room of the White House on January 31, 2020 in Washington, DC.

She’s not jumping in head-first, instead, she’s “privately not ruling out having some sort of role.” Her way of thinking is no longer “‘Hell no’ anymore.” Ivanka is trying to keep her possible return to politics under the radar for now, though. A spokesperson for the couple told the media outlet, “As they’ve both repeatedly stated, Ivanka and Jared continue to focus on their family and lives in the private sector and do not intend to go back to politics.” Ivanka isn’t suddenly going to pop up on the campaign trail if she decides to help Donald Trump. Instead, the insider revealed that her return to politics would be timed to the Republican National Convention in mid-July for greater impact.

“After a longstanding position of ruling it out, she’s more open to it,” the source added. “It’s getting more real, it’s revving up.” The one thing political watchers should probably cross off their list is a Kushner return. He’s reportedly satisfied with his very lucrative Miami-based investment firm, Affinity Partners, which is already controversial for the significant investment from Saudi Arabia. The insider pointed out that Donald Trump’s son-in-law would benefit the least from a second White House term because of the conflict of interest of mixing business and politics — although that’s never stopped the Trumps before.

Voters will soon find out if Ivanka meant what she said in her November 2022 statement after Donald Trump announced his third run for president. “I love my father very much,” she said. “This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics.” It sounds like Washington, D.C. is calling Ivanka again.
