It’s been a minute.

Sean “Diddy” Combs hasn’t been very active on social media in the weeks after his Star Island and L.A. mansions were raided by feds in connection with a sex trafficking investigation.

The raids came on the heels of a lawsuit filed by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones against the rapper accusing him and his associates of sexual harassment and abuse. The music star denied all allegations through his lawyer.

Over the weekend came an unexpected post — an inspirational, dramatic video, shared to Combs’ 20 million plus followers.

It doesn’t take a religion major to see he’s embracing his spiritual side to cope with his current situation.

The clip starts with the camera panning down the long, solemn tunnel at the Miami Beach Holocaust Memorial, as organ music plays in the background.

Suddenly, a booming yet soothing voice is heard: “Not hysterical, not frantic, not anxious, not fretful. But steady in the storm.”

The words are part of a sermon by Combs’ friend, Dallas pastor/motivational speaker T.D. Jakes, from Scripture: Luke 8:22-26.

“Looks bad, looks tough,” Jakes continues, “but remains steady in the storm.”

The camera then goes to Combs hugging someone on what appears to be the outdoor patio of his Miami Beach home. The music mogul also holds hands in a prayer circle.

The video concludes with Diddy on the beach, raising his arms.

So why was Jakes’ voice used in this video? Probably because the two men are friends.

But the megachurch pastor also happens to be embroiled in this unholy mess. In his suit, Lil Rod mentions the cleric by name and says that Diddy planned to “leverage” his relationship with Jakes to help his public image.

This fact wasn’t lost on many of the Insta commenters.

“TD Jakes being the narrator is absolute insanity!”

“There you go trying to use Bishop Jakes to make yourself look better. Keep him out of your mess!”
