    EPA Compiles a Master Bed Bug Resource List About Treatment, Prevention, More to be Housed by BedBug Central

    EPA has Chosen BedBug Central to House its Comprehensive Resource List on the BedBug Central Website to Increase Exposure and Aid in Wide-Spread Education

    Since the bed bug epidemic continues across the nation, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has compiled a master resource list to highlight bed bug basics, prevention, treatment, travel, and general bed bug facts. This list is housed by BedBug Central, an educational resource for bed bugs and related issues.

    As an authoritative resource, BedBug Central was selected to host the EPA’s list because of their reputation in educating the public and industries affected by bed bugs on how to prevent and treat these pests effectively.

    Donald Baumgartner, of the EPA, has compiled the resource list to offer prevention and treatment information for bed bugs in homes and in public spaces such as offices, multi-family housing, commercial properties, and the hospitality industry.

    Jeffrey White, an entomologist with BedBug Central, acknowledges that having one of the most comprehensive bed bug resource lists housed on a high-traffic and credible website will be a great benefit to the public.

    “The abundance of resources about bed bugs available to the general public is overwhelming. It can also be difficult to know which websites have been reviewed by experts,” said White. “By hosting this information on BedBug Central, the public will be able to view this extensive EPA list along with other content developed by experts.”    

    The resource list includes in-depth information regarding bed bug basics and biology. In addition, the list expands on general prevention, control and treatment guidelines, tips for hiring a pest management professional, steps for smart bed bug free travel, and why bed bugs are a public health concern.

    The addition of the EPA resource list adds to BedBug Central’s variety of informative resources that benefit the public.
