ADDIS ABABA (Reuters) - Ethiopia's year-on-year inflation rate dipped to 5.4 percent in October from 5.8 percent a month before, helped by a fall in food prices, official data showed on Thursday. The Central Statistics Agency said food inflation eased to 2.9 percent in October from 3.8 percent a month earlier, mainly due to a drop in cereal prices. Non-food inflation inched up to 8.3 percent from 8.1 percent in September.
