Eva Mendes Takes First Ever Selfie for a Good Cause -- Find Out Why!

Eva Mendes doesn't take a selfie for nothing!

The 41-year-old actress Instagrammed her first selfie ever on Wednesday to help raise money for an adorable toddler named Andrew Wilson Wratten, who's been undergoing treatment for neuroblastoma cancer. Eva shared a picture of the still-smiling Andrew, asking fans to donate to him and his family.

"His family has spent the last year going through every parent's worst nightmare as they watch their little boy endure grueling treatment and they need our help," she wrote. "From the bottom of my heart, I thank you in advance for your support of this precious little boy and his family. xx."

In the selfie, Eva shared a black-and-white picture of herself wearing a t-shirt bearing Andrew's name. She plans to sign the shirt and give it away to one person who made a donation within 48 hours of her posting the pic.

The cause is personal for the big-hearted actress, given that she's now a mom to her own daughter, Esmeralda Amada, with boyfriend Ryan Gosling. In January, she also participated in the Hollywood Stands Up To Cancer event, where she shared that her brother Carlos has cancer.

"Tonight I'm here with my family -- my brother Carlos who I love so much -- he had treatment today, and we weren't sure if he was going to be feeling up to it, so I'm so happy he made it, and I love you," she said in a sweet on stage moment.
