    Ex-president Jimmy Carter to pen 2 religious books

    ATLANTA (AP) — Former President Jimmy Carter is authoring a pair of books for a Christian publisher.

    In one book, Carter will share life lessons culled from more than three decades of teaching Sunday school classes in Plains, Ga., and Washington, D.C. The book is called "Through the Year with Jimmy Carter: 366 Daily Meditations from the 39th President." It will be released in January.

    The second book is called "New International Version Lessons from Life Bible: Personal Reflections with Jimmy Carter." It will hit stores in March and will be filled with Carter's personal experiences, reflections and insights.

    A third book — released recently — is a biography of Carter's life written for children.

    The publishing company Zondervan is releasing the books.

    Carter has previously written 25 books.

      Jimmy Carter was one of the most moral presidents the; Americans ever had.Those lusting from greed and advantage could not control him.         Really, tell that to the Christians in Cuba, in North Korea, in China, in Burma, in Nicaragua, and everywhere else this angel of light stuck his head. I am sure Castro, Chavez, Ortega, and Kim would all agree with your rendition. A good tree bringeth forth good fruit and evil tree bad fruit so I guess it would depend on what you view as good and evil is wouldn't it? If you are an adherent to Communism then I guess you think he is as close as you can get to the Second coming of Christ but if you are opposed to that ideology and nations that espouse and hold those types of beliefs then he most definitely more resembles the anti Christ who will appear as the angel of light and will be called a man of peace. He is neither but what he is for sure is not good.

      Jimmy Carter is a man of Christ. This is because Christ was an advocate for the lazy. Jesus was against capitalism and for welfare. Jesus actively disrupted the economy in by destroying a marketplace at the temple. Jesus hated commerce that much. He also tried to convince people to quit their jobs all the time and he actually got 12 guys to do it. Then Jesus never paid any rent. He just went around from whomever's house would take him and his group of deadbeats in. He never paid for meals, or even lifted a finger to help. A lazy freeloader until the Romans nabbed him and put this criminal to death. Capitalism has flourished ever since.

        jesus is not an advocate for lazy people. have you ever heard the saying idle hands is the devils plaything.GOD worked 6 days and rested on the 7th. that doesn't sound lazy to me. I only work 5 days a week. how about you?

      Jimmy Carter is a man of Jesus. In fact he is better than Jesus because he does not lie to people. Jesus is well known to have boasted to be a carpenter. Funny thing about Jesus is not one story in the Bible that says he was a carpenter. Not one. Zero. Zilch. Jimmy Carter build houses with his bare hands for people in need. There is not any evidence in the Bible that Jesus built any thing, not even hanging a shelf or building a dollhouse. Carter is a man that knows his way around tools, clearly a skilled builder familier on how to use a hammer and nails. Jesus was a man that lied to people, he clearly wanted to be his dad Joseph who actually was a carpenter. Sadly, the only exposure Jesus had to a hammer and nails was at the end of his life when the Romans were driving nails through his body on the cross. The irony is that is probably the moment Christ learned how a hammer worked.

        You are right that Carter is a man of Jesus. But the rest you got all wrong. Jesus never once said he was a carpenter. And anyway, what on earth would Jesus' profession have to do with being a man of God? I don't care if Jesus was a carpenter, a plumber, a mailman, a shoemaker or any other honorable profession.
