Mulberry, the iconic British brand known for its high-end leather goods, has nailed down an Oct. 17 opening at NorthPark Center, and the store is sure to be a beaut.
According to reps for the company, the Dallas location will be only the second in North America (the new Vegas store is the other) to feature the company's redesigned store concept. Inspired by Mulberry's roots in the English countryside, the design will feature color and textures inspired by natural materials. Hand-carved and untreated oak will be used for shelving, and Somerset limestone is set for the floor, laid out in the style of traditional parquet flooring and reminiscent of traditional English country houses.
The 1,400-square-foot boutique will be divided into discreet sections for a "calm and elegant shopping environment," with neutral colors. Mulberry commissioned British leather artist Genevieve Bennett to create a stunning collection of leather wall tiles carved out in beautiful tonal leather—of course inspired by Mulberry's heritage of leather craftsmanship.
But wait, there's more: The store's façade will be the first of its kind within Mulberry's store portfolio to feature three layers of glass of different opacities, engraved with "falling" leaves taken from the iconic Mulberry tree logo.
What say you of the merchandise? The store will naturally feature the full Mulberry collection, including the new season of women's ready to wear.
"It is a privilege to be located at NorthPark Center, which offers an unparalleled luxury shopping experience," said Carl Barbato, president for Mulberry North America, in a press release. "We look forward to introducing our new store concept and the world of Mulberry to the Dallas market this fall."
