Extensive hands-on video proves there’s a second Galaxy Note 7 out there somewhere

Samsung is widely expected to launch a single Galaxy Note 7 version on August 2nd, a next-gen phablet with a curved "edge" display. A recent report suggested the curved edges would be toned down compared to the Galaxy S7 edge, but a new set of official renders suggests there’s not going to be a flat-screen version of the phone. However, that doesn’t mean such a phone doesn’t exist. An extensive 11-minute hands-on video previous of the flat Galaxy Note 7 was posted on YouTube proving the phone is indeed out there.

DON’T MISS: This is one Google Nexus rumor you won’t like

The flat Galaxy Note 7 was shown in a few leaked photos earlier this week, proving that Samsung at least toyed with the concept. The video below, reposted online by YouTube channel TechTastic after being discovered on Weibo, actually demos the features of the handset.

It’s more than clear we’re looking at a prototype device, considering the overall appearance of the handset, and especially the front.

We know it’s a Galaxy Note because it has a stylus. An iris scanner on the front that actually works and an USB-C port on the bottom also prove that it’s a Galaxy Note 7. The video goes through the design of the phone, its specs, the new TouchWiz software features, and even touches on benchmarks, which appear to be quite remarkable for an unfinished unit.

The full 11-minute video follows below, and it’ll be a lot more entertaining if you actually understand the commentary. I didn’t, but I watched it nonetheless.
