Facebook furore over homeware firm ISAK's V-Day's 'nude photo' competition

London, Feb. 8 (ANI): A homeware company has sparked fury by encouraging fans to post nude photographs of themselves on their Facebook page to win a Valentine's competition. Scandinavian design brand ISAK has asked couples to upload images of themselves 'naked or semi-naked' in a tribute to their cheeky Viking cartoon characters Blossom and Bill, who appear across their home accessories range in various states of undress, reports the Daily Mail. The competition has not been received well by Facebook users who have inundated the social networking site with complaints. They have sent ISAK founder, Sandra Isaksson, hundreds of angry letters and emails complaining about the images. However, Isaksson has retaliated by posting nude photographs of her husband and herself as part of the campaign. Isaksson said they are to find the best lookalikes of the Viking characters Blossom and Bill, who are all about having fun and enjoying life and not taking everything so seriously. She said that nakedness is a natural state of being and it is sad that nakedness is still seen as such a taboo. Isaksson further said that next year they would go for full body nakedness, "with all the flappy, dangly bits wobbling about". (ANI)
