Mashable founder and CEO Pete Cashmore sat down with Facebook's Vice President of Partnerships Dan Rose as part of Mashable's Documented@Davos program. They talked about Facebook's increasing number of partnerships with websites and apps thanks to Facebook Open Graph.
Rose said that Facebook hoped to become the "social graph" for all its users with the implementation of Open Graph, and the addition of 60 new applications to it in mid-January.

"In order for that to be a complete picture of who you are, we want to allow you to add content from any of the different websites or mobile applications that you use," Rose explained.
As an example, Rose highlighted Pinterest, the social pinboard quickly gaining popularity across the web. Rose said that the addition of Pinterest's "pins" to a Facebook Timeline would allow users to really see what each other is into in the context of their Facebook life.
Along with giving them that access, Rose discussed privacy concerns of some, saying the important feature of Open Graph was that users could easily opt in, and opt out, of sharing on each individual app.
"When we developed the open graph we spent a lot of time working with our early partners to figure out an exact way to communicate what’s happening and a to give users complete control over that experience. When you sign on to Foodspotting on your iPhone on Android, they ask you at the beginning if you’d like to share all of your content on Facebook," Rose explained.
