    The Lodge at Chaa Creek appears to be riding a popularity wave with families this year, according to online word of mouth and popular website reviews. And the announcement of new summer discounts is expected to make guests even happier.

    Recently (June 16) the Family Vacation Critic website gave Chaa Creek a 91% satisfaction rating backed up by reviews from some 45 travellers, who evaluated the eco-resort with accolades such as “Awesome,” “The Perfect vacation experience”, “Superb” or “a fantastic family vacation spot!”

    The Trip Advisor, another highly regarded traveller’s site also ran a similar number of reviews with headings such as “Exceeded expectations”, “Outstanding” and “Divine”.

    Marketing advisor Larry Waight said Chaa Creek’s popularity with families is welcome news, but given the nature of Belize’s best known eco-resort, not completely surprising.

    “When you think about it, Chaa Creek is a great family vacation destination in itself. It‘s also the perfect base for exploring Belize’s beautiful rainforests, Caribbean beaches and the spectacular Belize Barrier Reef as well as Maya temples, sacred caves and archaeological sites.

    “No matter what your age or interests, there’s something to do at Chaa Creek, from exploring the miles of rainforest trails on foot, horseback or mountain bike, canoeing the beautiful Macal River, visiting our on-site Maya temples and sites or taking part in nature walks and tours. With 365 acres of private nature reserve at their disposal, families can find something for everyone to enjoy”.

    Chaa Creek, this year’s Belize Hotel of the Year, is an award winning, globally recognised model for Green, sustainable tourism and features lovely thatched roof cottage accommodations as well as luxury suites with private Jacuzzis and sundecks, all surrounded by gorgeous tropical gardens.
