I guess the government will pay for it for us. I havn't been able to find a job in over a year and you want me to buy insurance, I don't think so. Ya'll need to do something about creating jobs. Like ban china products from the U.S.Oh thats right we owe them to much money.

Had it been the overturned, there would be 12" headlines and a full story.

This happened 45 minutes ago and all we get is one lousy sentence without a period?

I guess that's all the republican author could get out before throwing up violently.

Doesn't matter until it goes before the Supreme Court. These lower courts deciding on it is just a waste of money and time.

If you only realize how stupid your statement was, you wouldn't have made it.
      • Salvador 11 mths ago
Matt, there is a reason that it happens this way.
      • Michaell357 11 mths ago
When courts found it unconstitutional, Republicans were jumping all over it. Now it's , Oh it don't matter. LOL
    • Bradley-James  •  11 mths ago
Supreme court will have to decide this one.

How can the government forcing us to buy something be constitutional? Doesn't make sense.
      • Jenner 11 mths ago
The govt and/or your car dealer forces you to buy car insurance. Some residences, apts, HOAs require renters insurance, lenders require homeowners insurance. Of course they can force you to buy insurance.
      • Tata 11 mths ago
the same way they force you to buy car insurance

Because it's a service that we all use. Whether or not you're sick right now doesn't matter, you're bound to need it someday.

Think of it this way: is your house on fire right now? Probably not, but you still want the fire department to be ready just in case, right?

It's actually CHEAPER to get fined for NOT buying healthcare versus buying it.
    • Popcorn said FU  •  11 mths ago
so.. what are they going to do when I refuse to buy health insurance? put me in jail? effem
    • Mr. Potato Head  •  11 mths ago
To argue for federal healthcare mandates based on the existence of state auto liability insurance requirements is political sleight of hand. Anyone making that case is banking on public ignorance for their success.

Our government no longer represents the people, they now rule the people. This government is broke !
    • PaulK  •  11 mths ago
When was the last time the government FORCED you to buy a product from a private entity???

Before you spew car insurance...that is NOT a mandate punishable by law! You can choose not to drive and use public transportation.
    • Darryl B  •  11 mths ago
Where is the story - idiots !! Yahoo sucks!
    • V  •  11 mths ago
Maybe he can pass a law to make it mandatory for everyone to purchase a home, that will solve homelessness, won't it?
    • Charlie  •  11 mths ago
Liberal packed court...the Supreme Court will rule it Unconstitutional because the Federal Government does not have the power to make a person buy a comodity from a private company...what would be next? We have to by GM cars or get fined? Or by GE Appliances or get fined? Progressives are idiots...
    • Freedom  •  11 mths ago
How are we gonna round up 25 million illegals and force them to buy health insurance?
    • A Yahoo! User  •  11 mths ago
This is just step one people. Once the Supreme Court says you can't force the people to buy from a private company, they will just seize the insurance companies and make them
Federal or force them to close so only the government can provide insurance. Problem solved. C'mon! Is it your first day here?
    • BethV  •  11 mths ago
Stick me and my family in jail now!! At the moment house, insurance, food and gas chew up more than we make already! They probably don't make the prisoners pay for health care right?
    • WatchDog  •  11 mths ago
The Supreme Court will settle this so not a big deal.
    • Results-Speaks-Already  •  11 mths ago
Take the blood liberal suckers and throw them to germany!! Were very tired of all of these taxes + fees!!! Without the working republicans they wouldn't eat!!! If most liberals were working they would feel the pain bad and wouldn't vote this selfish way!!

This type of stuff, like requiring American's to have insurance, and all is the type of government our founding fathers fought against! That's why they came here, wrote the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, to ensure WE THE PEOPLE were free from a government telling us what to do, how to do it, or face legal consequences. 2012 HERE WE COME!
