Film trailer: 'Despicable Me 2' in 3D
The first teaser trailer for Despicable Me 2 in 3D released on March 1 with a spotlight on the little yellow Minions performing a version of The Beach Boys' tune "Barbara Ann."
The sequel to this animated blockbuster family comedy of 2010, which made $543.1 million worldwide, brings back super villain Gru and the three little orphan girls in a new tale, directed again by Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud.
Steve Carell (Date Night, Crazy Stupid Love) stars as the cranky but loveable Gru, Jason Segel (The Muppets, Bad Teacher) reprises his role as Vector, and Miranda Cosgrove, Dana Gaier and Elsie Kate Fisher return as the young girls. The voice cast will also feature veteran actor Al Pacino.
The comedy film premieres June 27-28, 2013, in Australia and the UK, followed July 3-5 in North America and other countries worldwide.
