(WJW) – ALDI is reducing its prices on more than 250 items to help customers save “$100 million through Labor Day.”

According to a press release from ALDI, this price drop will nearly double the savings from last year, building on their May 2023 price reduction to save shoppers more than $60 million.

Costs will be lowered this summer on seasonal items including picnic necessities, BBQ essentials, travel-ready snacks and certain foods, according to the release.

“ALDI is always looking for ways to help customers save money, but with more experts warning of persistent inflation, the time was right to deliver even greater discounts on our already low prices for the second year in a row,” said Dave Rinaldo, President at ALDI U.S. “We don’t want food prices to hold people back from getting together with friends and family or spending time outdoors this season.”

This summer’s price reductions include:

• Simply Nature: Chia Seeds reduced to $4.89

• Simply Nature: Organic Avocado Oil reduced to $5.49

• Season’s Choice: Frozen Blueberries 24oz reduced to $3.59

• Simply Nature: Organic Pinto/Kidney Beans reduced to $0.99

• Specially Selected: French Baguette reduced to $1.49

• Specially Selected: Macarons reduced to $4.19

• Vitalife: Assorted Kombucha reduced to $2.29

• Simms: Summer Sausage reduced to $4.19

• Emporium Selection: Cracker Cuts reduced to $2.69

• Simply Nature: Organic Granola Bars reduced to $3.49

• Benton’s: Cookie Thins reduced to $2.69

• Southern Grove: Dried Cranberries 6oz reduced to $1.75

• Southern Grove: Sunflower Kernels 16oz reduced to $2.79

• Southern Grove: Dried Mediterranean Apricots reduced to $2.99

• USDA Choice Black Angus Sirloin Steak reduced to $6.99 (through July 10, 2024)

• Family Pack Chicken Breast reduced to $2.19 (through July 10, 2024)

• Burman’s: Steak Sauce reduced to $1.89

• Season’s Choice: Frozen French Fries 32oz reduced to $2.49

According to the release, ALDI’s customer demand is growing so much that the company plans to add 800 stores across the U.S. over the next five years.
