British food packaging manufacturer Colpac has expanded its range of recyclable multifood pots by introducing a new 950ml kraft pot.

The 950ml pot, with a separate recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) lid, joins Colpac's stock range as an off-the-shelf option for a wide array of customers.

The company’s existing range includes 470ml, 550ml, 700ml, and 1,300ml pots.

According to Colpac, its latest offering is designed to bridge the gap between existing sizes, providing a solution for more substantial meal options without the need to upgrade to a larger 1,300ml pot.

In addition to expanding the company's portfolio, the 950ml pot offers foodservice operators and retailers the flexibility to package higher-value lunches and meals.

The new pot is available to order from May 2024.

Colpac manufactures multifood pots at its Flitwick factory in the UK.

The facility, which boasts a BRCGS AA+ certification, develops custom food packaging solutions, including the aforementioned 950ml pots, for retailers across the UK and Europe.

Colpac’s multifood pots also come with a grease-resistant interior coating.

Manufactured from Forest Stewardship Council-certified paperboard, they feature a wide aperture for product visibility.

Colpac marketing and product head Kate Berry said: “Our continued, successful production of 950ml multifood pots for key customers helped us to identify the opportunity for this size to be added to our stocked range.

"We can now give our customers even more choice and support their menu development across a broader range of sizes.”

"Colpac launches new kraft pot with separate rPET lid" was originally created and published by Packaging Gateway, a GlobalData owned brand.
