Australian retailer the Munro Footwear Group (MFG) has partnered with Fluent Commerce to enhance its omnichannel fulfilment capabilities.

The retailer will implement Fluent Commerce’s new order management system (OMS) across its extensive network of 250 stores and distribution centres.

This will provide a unified view of inventory, improving customer service and the retail experience both online and in-store.

The implementation of the OMS is part of MFG’s broader commitment to technology and innovation.

It includes the rollout of a new national point-of-sale solution in 2023 and the creation of a state-of-the-art distribution centre in 2022.

MFG co-CEO Marcus Bartlett said: “To achieve our ambitious transformation agenda, we need to put in place the best systems and processes, and Fluent Commerce has an excellent reputation for delivering real value to retailers all over the world.”

Fluent Commerce will team up with Australian e-commerce and digital consulting company Amblique on this project.

The partners will introduce the new technology to over one hundred MFG brands by the end of May 2024.

Marcus Bartlett added: "We look forward to partnering with them and Amblique to deliver this milestone project for MFG."

Fluent Order Management processes inventory data to provide complete visibility and accuracy, ensuring orders are fulfilled profitably and conveniently.

Once live, Fluent's OMS can view location or stock at all times across all brands and channels.

Fluent Commerce CEO Graham Jackson said: "I am pleased that an iconic Australian retail company like MFG has chosen Fluent Order Management. This sophisticated technology will help MFG unlock efficiencies across its entire supply chain."
