The KnowledgeLake community raises funds to support Our Little Haven, an organization that provides a safe, healing environment for children suffering from abuse and neglect.
St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) September 21, 2011
"We're honored with the generous support from KnowledgeLake and their friends. We're always talking about building a foundation of love for these kids, and KnowledgeLake has allowed us to continue to build on this foundation. We are grateful for them sharing with these very special children!" - Scott Hummel, Executive Director of Our Little Haven.
Despite unfavorable weather, the KnowledgeLake Charity Golf Tournament had over 100 golfers, 21 volunteers and 33 businesses contributing to the success of the event. The tournament also raised awareness on how children’s early intervention programs can break the cycle of neglect and abuse, producing healthy children who succeed in life and give back to the community. “Mother Nature didn’t exactly cooperate with our charity event. However, the incredible outpouring of support more than compensated for the lack of sunshine. The simple phrase ‘thank you’ doesn’t seem sufficient enough to all our supporters.” - Barb Potter, Director of Development Support, KnowledgeLake.
