    First Person: Democrats, What Are You Going to Do About the National Debt?

    Yahoo! News asked voters to pinpoint one single issue they'd like to see addressed at the Democratic National Convention. Here are one voter's thoughts.

    Democrats, you need to show next week at your convention how you are going to get the national debt under in control. The national debt has exploded from about $11 trillion to more than $16 trillion since President Obama took over.

    This is going to destroy the dollar and the confidence in the economy. Democrats bash the "austere" budget of Paul Ryan; however, he does not propose to balance the budget until 2040. I wish you Democrats would have something in your platform to meaningfully seek a balanced budget without destroying the economy with high taxes.

    Please surprise me next week. By the way, I did build my small business. How dare you say otherwise.
