Every photo has a story, and on this Thanksgiving, Yahoo! News asked readers to share one photo, and the story behind it, that holds meaning for them. Here's one.

FIRST PERSON | My wife and I spent last Thanksgiving together as a couple, enjoying Thanksgiving dinner at her parents' home in Lubbock, Texas. It was the first time I had spent Thanksgiving with a significant other and it was a tremendous experience. While my own family traditionally cooks a lighter Thanksgiving feast, I was excited to experience a large, formal, gravy-rich extravaganza.

The dinner was sumptuous and I got to experience a true "Hollywood Thanksgiving," enjoying a feast fit for a movie scene. My girlfriend and I were engaged in December and are now busily preparing our first Thanksgiving as host and hostess, hoping to emulate the grand style that we so enjoyed in 2011. We purchased a new house in June and moved in promptly.

Now we are ready to share our warmth and comfort with family. My parents will be there, along with my younger brother and his fiance. Following shortly will be my grandmother and my aunt, both of whom are traveling from the East Coast. The out-of-towners are excited to see the house and experience the unique culture of Midland, Texas.

A large, warm and inviting Thanksgiving will hopefully be a permanent tradition of our new family.
