First Responder Friday: Malinda Shadoan

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — It’s time for another edition of First Responder Friday as News13 honors Grand Strand and Pee Dee first responders.

This week’s nominee is Officer Malinda Shadoan with the Myrtle Beach Police Department.

Shadoan works a dual role as an evidence technician and detention officer. Her colleagues often admire her ability to turn chaos into order. Her attention to detail is admirable, ensuring that every item, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, finds its rightful place with efficiency and accuracy.

However, Shadoan’s influence extends far beyond the evidence room.

As a dedicated member of the Myrtle Beach community, those close to her say she embodies the spirit of service in everything she does.

Whether it’s volunteering at local events, lending a helping hand to those in need, or actively participating in community outreach programs, Shadoan’s presence is felt as a reassuring beacon of support and goodwill.

But perhaps what’s most remarkable about Shadoan is her infectious positivity and warm demeanor. No matter the challenges she faces, she greets each day with a bright smile and an unwavering determination to make a positive impact.

Her genuine kindness and willingness to go above and beyond for others has earned her the admiration and gratitude of colleagues and community members alike.
