Fitness Tracker Fashion: Fitbit Announces New Accessories

Fitness trackers are becoming a popular way to track daily activity, but they have lagged behind on the fashion front. Many trackers are plain black (or single color) wristbands, and look more like digital watch straps than jewelry.

But the fitness tracker company Fitbit is trying to change that. Today the company announced a new collection of Fibit accessories — from luxury fashion brand Tory Burch — is available. The collection includes a brass bracelet with an open fretwork design ($195), a brass pendant ($175), and patterned silicon wristbands ($38), in blue and pink.

The accessories are all for the Fitbit Flex, which you have to remove from its own silicon wristband (included with the device) to place into the Tory Burch accessories.

"Our partnership with Tory Burch has taken wearable device fashion to another level, transforming our Flex tracker into an elegant accessory," James Park, CEO and co-Founder of Fitbit, said in a statement.

Another fitness tracker noted for its stylish design is the Misfit Shine, which can be worn as a necklace.
