Valentine's Day is just around the corner. Some of the most romantic restaurants in Dallas are also some of the best, with top chefs, fantastic food, and beautiful settings that will make your head spin. These romantic restaurants come highly recommended by patrons and critics alike. Choose one of the following, and your darling will be swooning in your arms in no time.

St. Martin's Wine Bistro

3020 Greenville Ave., Dallas

214-826-0940

This lower Greenville Avenue establishment is hailed by customers and critics as the most romantic French restaurant in Dallas. It is the recipient of a 2012 The Best in DFW award as one of the best French restaurants in area. It is also on TripAdvisor's top 10 romantic restaurants in the United States. With its warm lighting and traditional decor, St. Martin's Wine Bistro is a good choice for those looking for an authentic, traditional experience. The menu includes dishes such as lobster thermidor and creme brulee, and the champagne brie soup is very popular and highly recommended by both patrons and wait staff.

Bolsa

614 W. Davis St., Dallas

214-367-9367

This Oak Cliff establishment is located in the old Settles Garage building just west of the Bishop Arts District. Vibrant and colorful by day, the establishment uses dim lights and candles by night to create an ambience of enchantment that focuses on food, drink, and intimacy. The menu is distinctly New American with a fusion of flavors from around the world. A recent dinner menu included apple butter-pecan and smoked salmon bruschetta, rabbit sausage, and grapefruit panna cotta. Bolsa does not take reservations. It is strictly first-come, first-served.

Avanti Ristorante

Various locations

You'll find two locations in Dallas: one off McKinney and Worthington off the McKinney Avenue Trolley and another one located in Fountain Place. Both are known for their Italian cuisine and very modern romantic atmosphere. These upscale restaurants do something not many restaurants in their class do: a Moonlight Breakfast menu, which they serve from midnight until 3 a.m. This is perfect for couples who want to spend a late-night date in downtown Dallas with the option of having a late meal. The three-cheese spinach lasagna and three-layer chocolate mousse cake satisfy even the pickiest connoisseurs of Italian cuisine.

Victor Tango's

3001 N. Henderson Ave., Dallas

214-252-8595

At first glance, Victor Tango's might not strike you as incredibly romantic, but it is. Just ask their loyal patrons, who keep going back. Its atmosphere isn't quiet, but its warm ambience with orange bubble chandeliers makes up for it. It's lively and fun, the wait staff is attentive, and the food is excellent. If you're looking for a great place to take a first date without breaking your bank, Victor Tango's fits the bill. They offer shared plates rather than individual portions to encourage intimacy and conversation. The menu options range from Korean-style hanger steak to mini crispy carnitas. The dessert menu includes warm sticky toffee cake and apple pecan cake. Creative cocktails, a large wine menu, and local craft brews like Deep Ellum IPA round out the menu options. Victor Tango's accepts reservations for parties of eight or more.

Hibiscus

2927 N. Henderson Ave., Dallas

214-827-2927

Since 2005, Hibiscus has been one of the most popular and highly recommended Asian-inspired restaurants in Dallas. The rustic interior and low lighting make this establishment feel as though you're far from civilization, when you're actually in the midst of downtown Dallas. Although it's an upscale restaurant, it feels warm and welcoming, almost as if you're among friends and family. Seafood features prominently on the menu, with dishes such as Hawaiian big-eye tuna and Alaskan halibut. If seafood isn't your preferred cuisine, you might choose the bone-in Omaha rib-eye or rotisserie heritage chicken, both of which are delicious. Reservations are strongly recommended.
