    Sales training company FJR Advisors, Inc. announced today that it will include training on how to make cold calls effectively using social media, in addition to its long-standing programs on how to prospect without cold calling.

    Founded in 2003, FJR Advisors, Inc. (formerly known as FJR Advisors, LLC) is a sales training firm that specializes in sales prospecting. The company began with an online sales training course in 2003, and quickly expanded into live training after its founder, Frank Rumbauskas, became a New York Times best-selling author immediately after launching his first book, "Never Cold Call Again."

    FJR Advisors, Inc. has trained over 50,000 salespeople and small business owners worldwide, through its online programs as well as live training to sales organizations.

    The decision to add effective cold call training to its programs is, according to Rumbauskas, not an admission that cold calling works - he still insists that it's the worst option for sales prospecting - but in response to popular demand, and because of the evolution of social media.

    "Traditional cold calling - dialing the phone and knocking on doors at random - is a bigger waste of time than ever thanks to the Internet. However, that same Internet has given us a very powerful set of sales prospecting tools in the form of sites like LinkedIn and Facebook."

    FJR Advisors, Inc. will focus on how to use social media profiles to first research targeted prospects, and then to connect with them and build a relationship without the barriers, frustrations, and annoyances of cold calling.

    As Rumbauskas explains, "Business owners like myself absolutely do not accept cold calls. In fact, the University of North Carolina even conducted a study on the topic, and found that over 80% of business owners and executives absolutely, positively will not buy as the result of a cold call. As a result, new strategies are needed to reach these high-level decision makers."

    FJR Advisors, Inc. will begin this new training module immediately in its corporate training programs. No public seminars are currently scheduled.
