NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — A flight attendant has testified that a woman who accused a fellow passenger of groping her was "visibly shaking" and crying when she approached the flight crew after the alleged incident.
The United flight attendant gave the testimony Tuesday in the trial of North Bergen resident Bawer Aksal in federal court in Newark. The Turkish-born U.S. citizen is charged with sexual abuse.
In testimony last week and Monday, the woman said she was on the Phoenix-to-Newark flight last August when she awoke to find Aksal had slipped his hands into her blouse and shorts.
The woman is using a pseudonym during the trial because of the nature of the charges.
