    Distribution Agreement Brings Flightcom’s Commercial and Military Aviation Solutions to Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and other Asian Countries

    Flightcom, a leader in innovative team communication solutions for aviation environments, today announced its partnership with Air-Tec Marketing, authorizing the reseller to provide Flightcom’s wired and wireless aviation ground support communication systems for pushback and maintenance operations to its customers in Asia. Air-Tec Marketing distributes a broad range of quality aircraft ground support equipment for military, corporate and commercial airlines and will now offer, sell and support Flightcom’s aviation solutions in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and other countries in the Asia region.

    Flightcom’s wireless ground support solutions are being widely deployed across North America at more than 50 major airports and are being used by major carriers such as Southwest Airlines in their pushback operations. Flightcom’s new 1.8 GHz DECT wireless solutions are compliant with frequency requirements in the European Community, Australia, New Zealand and most Asian countries. Flightcom provides continuous, full-duplex communication that can be seamlessly integrated with aircraft interphones or portable radios for team-to-team communication. The ground support pushback system continuously and wirelessly connects one or more wing walkers, the tractor operator and the pilot during aircraft movement, allowing the operator to focus on accurate and efficient maneuvering. The system enables instant voice communication between team members in the case of danger or a change in movement so ground teams are not dependent only on traditional visual hand signals or wands. The tractor operator communicates with the aircraft pilot through a portable system, which also permits all team members to hear the pilot.
