Update to Florida Tech's 2015 Best Online Programs Ranking

The online graduate business program at Florida Institute of Technology recently advised U.S. News that it submitted an incorrect data point that was used in the 2015 Best Online Programs rankings. The misreported data resulted in its numerical rank being higher than it otherwise might have been in the 2015 Best Online Graduate Business Programs rankings.

Because of the discrepancy in Florida Institute of Technology 's rankings, U.S. News has moved Florida Tech to the "Unranked" category in the 2015 edition of the Best Online Graduate Business Programs rankings on usnews.com; these rankings exclude MBA programs. Unranked means that U.S. News did not calculate numerical rankings for those programs.

The school's Unranked status will last until the publication of the next Best Online Graduate Business Programs rankings and until Florida Tech confirms the accuracy of its next data submission in accordance with U.S. News' requirements.

We have noted this Unranked status on Florida Tech's profile page, and have included its new data reported as correct by the school on usnews.com.

This action doesn't impact Florida Tech's ranking in the U.S. News Best Online Bachelor's Programs and Best Online MBA Programs. Both of these rankings are unchanged.

Florida Tech advised U.S. News that it incorrectly reported that at least one of its non-MBA online graduate business programs is currently accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education, when in fact none of these programs hold IACBE accreditation.

This accreditation question, which has a "yes" or "no" format on the U.S. News statistical survey, was used to compute half of the best practices ranking indicator in the Best Online Graduate Business Programs rankings' student engagement factor. A business program's accreditation status has a weight of 6.6 percent in the online graduate business programs rankings methodology.
