    Football Focus International fields full team with women’s football prodigy Caitlin Foord

    Football Focus International (FFI) - an Australian management company dedicated to the sport and business of football is undergoing a sustained period of growth with an expanded client portfolio and rising womens’ football star Caitlin Foord signed up as the latest addition to the FFI stable.

    Caitlin currently plays for Sydney FC in the Westfield W-League. She is also a member of the Australian National Women’s squad - the Westfield Matildas where she looks set to play a key role in their long term strategy. In 2011, Caitlin won a number of major accolades including Hyundai ‘Young Player of the Tournament’ (2011 World Cup) and the Asian Football Confederation’s ‘Youth Player of the Year’ award. Her other achievements include being nominated for the ‘SMH/ The Age Sports Performer of the Year Awards 2011 in the ‘Young Performer’ category’ where she kept company with some of Australia brightest young athletes and at only 16 years of age becoming the youngest ever Australian to play at a World Cup.

    FFI Managing Director David O’Keefe said “We feel very privileged to have Caitlin sign with us at such an exciting stage of her career. She will be joining two of our other up and coming young football talents in the shape of Jacob Poscoliero and Sasa Macura who are currently playing abroad in Italy and Hungary. With Caitlin recently being approached by several overseas clubs, and having just signed a two year agreement with Nike Australia, we envisage a very bright future for her on/off the field.”

    FFI’s fresh approach to football management has already attracted some of the leading names in Australian football with Brisbane Roar FC Head Coach Ange Postecoglou, leading Hyundai A-League player Erik Paartalu and rising youngster Nicholas Fitzgerald already on its client list.

    Also joining FFI in 2012 to compliment its leadership team are Jason Smith and Andrew Goldrick. Jason has extensive experience in strategic PR/marketing communications having held senior roles spanning a diverse range of industries in the B2B and B2C space including United Group Limited, Daihatsu Australia, General Foods and British Steel. Andrew, an accredited coach, is a fully qualified PDHPE teacher who has been involved in teaching for the past 5 years. He also spent 6 years at Northern Spirit FC - leading the club as ‘Captain’ for some of that time. Andrew has travelled extensively during his quest for training and coaching knowledge, staying for long periods of time at some of the leading football clubs in the UK.

    David O’Keefe said,” Bringing Jason and Andrew on board will add greater depth to our corporate value proposition and help us expand our core capabilities in talent management, coaching and leadership development.”

    Commenting on FFI’s management philosophy, he concluded,” Our values based business model is predicated on taking a ‘whole of life’ approach to client’s business and personal affairs. In addition to the traditional sports agent role, we strive to advise, support and mentor them about their responsibilities both on and off the field and guide them through some of the more complex and difficult decisions they may encounter during their playing careers.”
