Steve Carrell's not the only comic putting in a serious performance as Channing Tatum takes center stage in the latest "Foxcatcher" teaser.
Tatum plays Mark Schultz, an aspiring and determined wrestler with an eye on gold at the Olympic Games in Seoul and, it would seem, at every other competition in between.
The buzz surrounding Carrell as philanthropist-on-the-edge John du Pont is well established, the "Despicable Me" and "The Office" funnyman almost completely unrecognizable as a man with too literal a killer instinct.
Now it's Tatum's turn to show that he's not just a good looking action comedy star: based on a true story, the film draws on Mark Schultz's autobiography, which charts his time under Du Pont and the untimely death of his brother at the millionaire coach's hands.
The film debuted to critical acclaim at Cannes in May, where Bennett Miller won Best Director, with a general release of November 14 tagged for the USA; January 2015 dates have been posted for European theatrical audiences in the UK, France and Holland.
