‘Full House’ Star Lori Loughlin Reveals Reboot Dealmaking Drama: ‘They Only Made Deals With Half the Cast’

“Full House” star Lori Loughlin says she’d like to join the series revival in the works at Netflix, but only if the price is right.

“I think we would all like to come back if the powers that be are fair to all of us,” Loughlin said on “Access Hollywood Live” Tuesday morning.

As of now, only Candace Cameron-Bure (D.J.), Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie) Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler) and John Stamos (Uncle Jesse) have made deals to join the 13-episode Netflix revival, “Fuller House,” which would follow widow D.J. as she raises her family at Kimmy’s house, much the same way her dad did in the original series. But Loughlin said producers wanted to kick the series off with a reunion episode featuring the entire original cast.

“They decided that it’d be great to open the show with a one-hour reunion,” Loughlin said. “The only thing is, they only made deals with half the cast, but not the other half.”

Netflix said in a statement that negotiations with the rest of the original cast — including Loughlin (Rebecca Katsopolis), Bob Saget (Danny Tanner), Dave Coulier (Uncle Joey), and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who jointly played youngest daughter Michelle — are ongoing.

But Loughlin said the only way she’d come back is if the cast worked on “favored nations” contracts, which essentially means the terms of everyone’s deals would be equally favorable.

“We want to be there, we want to come back. It’s up to [the producers],” Loughlin said.

The Olsen twins, who left acting to pursue careers in fashion design, may be the most difficult to entice.

“It doesn’t matter how much money they get paid, they don’t care,” Loughlin said. “I honestly don’t know if they want to do it.”

“They have really taken a step out of the acting world,” she added. “Maybe they’re up for it, I have no idea. I think everyone would love it, it’d be really nice.”
