Galaxy Note 4′s most incredible feature has been confirmed

Samsung wasn’t the first smartphone maker to launch an oversized handset with a huge screen, but there is no question that the company popularized the phablet category. And ever since the first Galaxy Note smartphone launched back in 2011, Samsung has been the king of this category. The South Korean electronics giant is expected to hold onto its crown in 2014 when it debuts the latest addition to its Note phablet lineup later this year, and now the Galaxy Note 4′s most impressive feature has apparently been confirmed.

The display is always the star of the show on Samsung’s smartphones, tablets and TVs, and it looks like that will remain the case when Samsung launches the Note 4 this fall. As noted by GSMArena this past weekend, key details surrounding the phone’s screen have been confirmed.

First, Indian import tracker Zauba has added a record of a test device from Samsung that was recently shipped to India. The model number SM-N910A has been tied to the Galaxy Note 4 several times in the past, and it has now appeared in Zauba’s records alongside a note that the device includes a 5.7-inch screen.

At the same time, a user agent profile for a device with the same model number has appeared on Samsung’s own website, and it clearly states that the phone has a display resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels, also known as quad HD or 2K.

Knowing Samsung’s history with smartphone displays, it looks like it is now fairly safe to say that the 5.7-inch QHD screen will be the Galaxy Note 4′s most incredible feature. Other reported Note 4 specs include a quad-core 2.7GHz Snapdragon processor and a 16-megapixel camera.

As has been the case with Note phablets in years past, Samsung is expected to launch the new Galaxy Note 4 smartphone sometime this fall.
