Galaxy S6 vs. iPhone 6: Samsung is a clear winner in low-light camera comparison

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but two pictures can be worth even more. Samsung finally took the wraps off of its next-generation flagship smartphones earlier this week. The new Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge are easily two of the most impressive phones we’ve seen in a long, long time. The designs are gorgeous and the performance is jaw-dropping… these phones really are the total package.

But as it turns out, Samsung didn’t stop there — the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge might also feature one of the best cameras we have ever seen on a smartphone.

A recent thread on Reddit points us to a nice little photo sample comparison that shows two images side by side.

The first photo was taken by an iPhone 6 Plus, which is widely known along with the iPhone 6 to have one of the best cameras in the world among smartphones. Then, the second photo was captured by a Galaxy S6, and both images show the same exact scene.

The winner here is beyond clear (click to view full size):

We’ll have plenty more to say once we get our hands on some review units, but it’s already safe to say that the Galaxy S6 camera is going to impress us all.
