Galliani: No deal for Honda

Japan boss tips Honda to shine

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has denied reports that Keisuke Honda is on the verge of joining the club, but hinted at a future move. The Italian media claim that the Rossoneri recently held talks with representatives of the CSKA Moscow midfielder, who won the domestic double in Russia last season. Honda has attracted interest from around Europe following an impressive World Cup qualifying campaign and Confederations Cup with Japan, who were the first nation to book their place at the Brazil 2014 showpiece. However, speculation that the 27-year-old is set to sign a four-year deal at the San Siro is wide of the mark, according to Galliani, although the Milan CEO indicated that a transfer could materialise at some point. "At the moment, he is a CSKA Moscow player," Galliani told Sky Sport Italia. "But who can predict what will happen in the future?"
