Game of Thrones Game Screenshots Apparently Leaked
Have screenshots of the upcoming Game of Thrones video game been leaked online? This past weekend, French gaming site PS4 France posted images it claimed were samples from the game, showing familiar characters Tyrion, Cersei and Margaery as they appear in the HBO adaptation of Game of Thrones, as well as what appear to be characters not seen in the show.

The Game of Thrones game will take place in the same time period as the books and the show, not a prequel as was previously thought. The main characters are from a minor noble house called Forrester, who hail from the northwest of Westeros and are loyal to the Starks. The Forresters have not appeared by name in the HBO show, but the house was mentioned in the fifth book, A Dance with Dragons.
The leaked screenshots also show what appear to be new characters, including a young brown-haired man, and a woman sitting in front of a banner depicting a white tree with a sword superimposed on top of it. This image was also found in Telltale Games' promotional images for the upcoming game.
Like Telltale Games' other titles, which include the Walking Dead series, the Game of Thrones game will be episodic, releasing in installments over several months for Xbox 360 and One, PlayStation 3 and 4, and PC and Mac. The first episode, entitled Iron From Ice, will be out by the end of this year. "Iron From Ice" is also the motto of House Forrester.
