Gas prices in NH rise 5 cents over past week to $3.42 a gallon, tracking national increase

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) -- The average price of a gallon of gas rose 5 cents in the past week in New Hampshire, to $3.42 per gallon.

That's according to the gasoline price website GasBuddy.com, which surveyed 875 gas stations in the state.

The price as of Sunday is 30 cents cheaper than the same day a year ago but 9 cents more than last month.

Nationally, the average also ticked up by 5 cents a gallon, to $3.40.

GasBuddy operates NewHampshireGasPrices.com and more than 250 other websites that track prices at more than 140,000 gas stations in the United States and Canada.
