Gas prices in W.Va. rise by 4 cents in a week
Gas prices up by 4 cents over last week across West Virginia _ auto club
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- Gas prices are on the rise in West Virginia, increasing 4 cents over the past week.
The Triple A's "Fuel Gauge" report issued Tuesday puts the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas in the state at $3.39. That's higher than the U.S. average of $3.32 a gallon, but below some of the steep increases reported in several states. Pump prices in Ohio and several other Midwestern states have risen by 20 cents.
High crude oil prices are driving the end-of-2013 gas prices.
Across West Virginia, the price of a gallon of gas ranges from a low of $3.22 in Parkersburg to highs inching up near the $3.50 mark in Martinsburg and Wheeling areas.
