Gasoline prices in Arizona at $3.48 per gallon

Arizona's average gasoline price at $3.48 per gallon; Up by less than a penny from last week

PHOENIX (AP) -- Gasoline prices at the pump around Arizona are virtually the same as last week.

Officials with AAA Arizona said Thursday that the average statewide price for unleaded regular gasoline is at $3.48 a gallon. That's up by less than a penny from last week.

This week's national average is at $3.59 per gallon, down by more than 3 cents from last week.

AAA officials say gasoline prices in Arizona are more than 6 cents lower than last year at this time.

Tucson has the lowest average gasoline price in Arizona at $3.25 a gallon while Flagstaff has the highest at $3.66.

South Carolina has the lowest average gas prices in the continental U.S. at $3.26 a gallon with Illinois having the highest at $4.02 a gallon.
