    Genie Francis Talks Returning To General Hospital As Laura Spencer (PREVIEW)

    Genie Francis makes her highly anticipated return to "General Hospital" on Monday, and Access Hollywood was on set with the actress ahead of her return debut.

    "I'm as comfortable here as I am in my own living room," Genie told Access Hollywood of stepping back into the shoes of Laura Spencer, a character she began playing in the late 1970s.

    Genie's character became a legendary part of soap opera history. In fact, the original wedding of Anthony Geary's Luke and Genie's Laura was seen by 30 million viewers in 1981!

    Coming home to "GH," 50 days before the soap's 50th anniversary (which occurs in April) has special significance for Genie, one of the show's most famous faces.

    "I just celebrated my 50th [birthday] and now I'm here to celebrate this show's 50th," Genie told Access . "I'm the same age as the show. So, you know... me and 'General Hospital' are linked -- no matter where I go or what I do in my life."
